Athletic Communications

The Florida Tech Athletic Communications Department is responsible for providing timely and accurate information to a variety of outlets, including the media, coaches, student-athletes and fans. Comprised of three full-time staff members, the department reports and publicizes on all 22 of FIT's varsity intercollegiate sports.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Writing and developing content for the official home of Florida Tech athletics,
  • Writing and distributing game stories
  • Arranging and overseeing interviews for coaches and student-athletes
  • Compiling and distributing statistics
  • Archiving pertinent information on program, teams, coaches and student-athletes
  • Producing information and promotional publications
  • Managing the department’s social media pages
  • Promoting department and teams through athletic marketing

New Student-Athlete Questionnaires

All incoming student-athletes are required to fill out a New Student-Athlete Questionnaire. Information provided will be used for releases on signings, as well as for bios, both online and print.

Media Information

All interviews and student-athlete information should be obtained and released through the Athletic Communications Department. To request an interview with a coach, student-athlete or administrator, contact Ryan Jones, Mitch Praxl, Jameson Carter or Daniel Supraner.

Visiting Media and Photographers

Visiting media and photographers planning on attending a home event on the Florida Tech campus should contact Mitch Praxl, Jameson Carter or Daniel Supraner 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time.

Post Game Reporting
