Florida Tech Athletics

Academic Support - Florida Tech takes pride in its student-athletes performing at a high level in the classroom and on the playing field. In an effort to provide Panther student-athletes with additional academic support, the athletic department received an NCAA grant in 2009, aimed at establishing a Director of Student-Athlete Development position.

Athletic Communications - The Florida Tech Athletic Communications Department is responsible for providing timely and accurate information to a variety of outlets, including the media, coaches, student-athletes and fans. The department reports and publicizes on all 21 of the University's varsity intercollegiate sports.

Athletic Training - The Doller Training Room is located in the Charles and Ruth Clemente Center for Sports and Recreation. Three full-time licensed and certified athletic trainers assist student-athletes with treating injuries, rehabilitation and the prevention of future injuries throughout their careers at Florida Tech.

CHAMPS/Life Skills - The CHAMPS/Life Skills Program (Challenging Athletes' Minds for Personal Success) was created in 1991 to support the student-athlete development initiatives of NCAA member institutions and to enhance the quality of the student-athlete experience within the context of higher education. Over 160 Division II institutions, including Florida Tech, are members of the program.

Compliance - The Florida Tech Compliance Office works daily to ensure that the athletics department operates according to all University, NCAA and Sunshine State Conference rules and regulations. This includes anyone involved or associated with Florida Tech Athletics. As a member of the Panther family, you play an integral role in maintaining compliance with these rules by your actions. This site is designed to educate you on NCAA rules and bylaws that cannot only affect the eligibility of our current student-athletes and prospective student-athletes, but also our athletic teams, the athletics department and the University.

Facilities - Florida Tech boasts some of the finest playing facilities along the Space Coast. Located on-campus is the Charles and Ruth Clemente Center for Sports and Recreation, F.W. Olin Sports Complex, the Florida Tech Tennis Courts and the Panther Aquatic Center. The Panther Boathouse, Baytree National Golf Links, Canal 54, Fee Avenue Tennis Complex and Wickham Park are within a short drive from Florida Tech.

Hall of Fame - The Florida Tech Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1986 to honor those persons who have made outstanding contributions to Florida Tech Athletics. Its purpose is to remember those who have brought distinction, honor and excellence to the University’s athletics program.

Panther Achievements - From the moment intercollegiate athletics was introduced at Florida Tech in 1965, Panther student-athletes have achieved success on the playing field. The honors they have earned vary across the spectrum, from Sunshine State Conference Championships to Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships to berths in the NCAA Division II Tournament, and lastly, hoisting the national championship trophy.

SAAC - The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is the student-athlete’s voice in the administration of the programs that directly affect you, the student-athlete. The group consists of representatives from each team. Membership in this organization is based on student-athlete interest, coach recommendations and commitment.
