WINTER PARK, Fla. (Athletics News) – Florida Tech placed 41 student-athletes on the Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Fall Honor Roll, announced Thursday by Commissioner Jay Jones. Thirty-two percent, or 13 student-athletes, registered a perfect 4.0 GPA in the fall semester.

Women’s soccer once again led all of the Panthers’ fall sports teams with 12 honorees. It tied its counterpart, men’s soccer, for the most 4.0 GPAs at four. Despite having a roster of eight, the women’s cross country team had five members achieve a fall grade point average of at least a 3.20.

Between the SSC’s nine members, 398 student-athletes were named to the fall honor roll. Sixty-four carried a 4.0 GPA.

Having won 76 national championships since the league was founded in 1975, the SSC’s student-athletes have also proven to be successful in the classroom. The NCAA recently announced that, for the fifth consecutive year, the SSC led all 22 Division II conferences with an Academic Success Rate of 86 percent.

Below is a complete list of FIT’s 41 student-athletes that earned at least a 3.20 GPA in the fall. The student-athletes in bold achieved a 4.0 GPA.
