Robin Chan
Co-Director

Born in Malaysia and raised in Walton-on-Thames, England, former Florida Tech men’s soccer standout Robin Chan now leads the men's soccer team at Florida Tech.

Chan, a former Florida Tech student-athlete, was a forward for the Panthers in 1988 when Tech captured the first of its two NCAA Division II National Championships (one of three schools in the Sunshine State Conference to have one title).

Chan joined the athletic department at Florida Tech after ending an 8-year stint with Melbourne Central Catholic High School as the head coach of the men's soccer team. While at MCC, he produced many successful seasons including two state championships in 1998 and 2003, eight consecutive district championships, five regional championships, and five state final four appearances. At the end of the 2003 season, MCC was ranked #1 in the country by StudentSports.com.

Fidgi Haig

Fidgi Haig
Co-Director

Former Florida Tech Soccer standout Fidgi Haig is the head coach of the women's soccer team. In his first season, he led the women's team to their best finish in the programs short existence.

Haig came to Florida Tech in 2005 after ending his stint as the women’s head coach at Satellite High School in Satellite Beach, Fla., where his team was ranked #1 in the nation twice, in 2002 and 2004.

His Lady Scorpions were one of the most dominant teams in the state in the past ten years. Under Haig, Satellite High won seven conference championships, five district championships and had four trips to the state championship game, winning two of them in 2002 and 2003. After winning back-to-back state championships, he left Satellite in 2005 with an astonishing career record of 231-18-8 (.927 winning percentage). That same year, he was named Orlando Sentinel Girls Soccer Coach of the Year, Florida Today Girls Soccer Coach of the Year and the Florida Youth Soccer Association's (FYSA) Girls Coach of the Year. He also was named Space Coast Coach of the Year four times and the 2004 Florida Dairy Farmers Coach of the Year.
