ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (Softball) – Florida Tech (1-5) lost two pitchers’ duals to Flagler (4-0) Sunday afternoon at Flagler Field. The Saints won 2-1 in game one and 1-0 in game two.

Kara Dickinson led the Panthers with four hits in six at-bats. Taylor Smith (0-3) received the loss in the first game. She threw 7 1/3 innings, allowing two runs on eight hits and two walks. Brianna Barth (1-2) picked up the tough loss in the second game despite surrendering just four hits.

In the eighth inning of game one, Flagler’s Alona Personius dropped a bunt to score Whitney Little from third base for the winning run. Amanda Bueno registered FIT’s lone RBI, singling home Sasha Stepaniuk to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead in the third inning.

Barth permitted a runner to reach third base only once in game two. On that one occasion, Personius came through once again. This time, she singled to left field to score Lauren Bessent for the eventual winning run in the sixth inning.
