Important NCAA rules for high school prospects regarding contact with coaches

Coaches can only respond via e-mail to juniors after Sept. 1 and seniors
Coaches cannot send any athletics recruiting material until after Sept. 1 of a prospect’s junior year
Prior to Sept. 1 of a prospect’s junior year, coaches can only mail academic information, recruiting questionnaires and camp brochures
Phone calls can be made to a coach, however, they cannot make calls until June 15 prior to a prospect’s senior year
Text messages are only permitted if a prospect has signed a National Letter of Intent
