MELBOURNE, Fla. (Women’s Golf) – Florida Tech capped off its fall season with a No. 22 ranking in the last Golf World/National Golf Coaches Association Division II Coaches' Poll. Previously, the Panthers came in at No. 21 in the national rankings.

This fall, FIT finished in the top five in two of their four tournaments. Their season was highlighted by a record performance at the NSU Shark Invitational in the middle of October. They carded a score of 305 in the second round to tie the program’s single-round mark, set in Oct. 2008. For the tournament, FIT combined to shoot a 620 to break the program record for 36 holes, obtained during the 2007-08 season.

Leading the way with three top-10 finishes was junior Jessica Hook. She tied for eighth at the Lady Falcon Invitational and then tied for third at the NSU Shark Invitational. The previous two tournaments helped prepare her for her best showing of her collegiate career at the Saint Leo Invitational where she tied for first.

The Panthers are now preparing for their spring schedule, which begins in February.
